It was the second day after the storm, and I went to volunteer. I grabbed my camera and water and headed to the George R. Brown Convention Center. While walking outside to find the line, I saw this. I didn't hesitate and took a photo of it. I'm not sure if they saw me, but I think they had more important things to think about.
Resisting.
During my breaks while volunteering, I walked around. I saw this book on a table that caught my attention. I asked if I could take a picture of the book, he said yes with his head while packing some food.
Time to Sleep.
While everything was getting set up inside the halls, people started to look for places in the corridors to have a little space to sleep. Using chairs, boxes, and blankets, they were ready to take some rest.
Spiritual.
There were several signs in the main corridor inside the George R. Brown... there were signs for legal help, insurance, translation help, volunteering, etc., but this one was empty... at least in the moment I walked by.
