My husband and I kept repeating how fortunate we were to have an upstairs. We were safe. Soon after this photo was taken, a National Gaurd helicopter flew over our house. We knew things were more serious somewhere close by.

Free pasta night, provided by a local grocery. Bellaire and the surrounding area was hit hard by Harvey. There was a line around the store waiting for a simple free meal. This was only days after the floods.

We can't forget the lunar eclipse! Only days before Harvey, the world celebrated this unique astronomical event. One moment we were celebrating nature, and, the next, we were fearing it.

Harvey hit all socio-economic areas of Houston. This image represents that Nature is simple. It is not tied up in the behavior of the human perspective. Its job was to spread water, not direct exactly where it should and should not go.
