Pleasantville receives Kellogg Foundation grant

2017

ACTS receives funds from the Kellogg Foundation’s thriving children focus to support its work toward social and environmental justice.

ACTS was one of five community based organizations (CBO) included in this grant written by Drs. Robert Bullard and Beverly Wright to form the HBCU-CBO Gulf Equity Consortium.  This community-based participatory research model sets parameters to ensure that the overall project is community-driven and that community-members are substantively involved in the research undertaken.  The consortium provides access to professors and university resources to support their individual communities.
